What brings you joy when producing content? Is it a blog, is it audio like a podcast, or is visual like a Youtube channel? Whatever it is, you need to identify at least one of the three as your main home base for your customer to always come back to so they can find you.
Three Different Platform Mediums
There are three types of mediums. It is always a good idea to pick at least one of these mediums as a homebase for your customer to come back to. You need a place to start, and don’t forget, the time to start is now!!!
- Writing – like a blog
- Audio – like a podcast
- Video – like Youtube

Write a Declaration
Once you identify your medium, the immediate next step you need to do is write a declaration to your audience. This is your CORE message to the world. In this declaration, you are going to identify the problems you are going to solve. You are going to say why you do what you do and what you stand for. This will identify you as the authority voice in what you are educating. The ultimate goal of this declaration will create your own personal niche leaving your audience with zero question on what you can do for them.
How do outline your declaration
- Identify 3 or 4 main pillars of your business
- Under each pillar, share a related story by using one of these 4 methods
- Lessons learned
- “How to” content
- Stories
- Lists
- Use this declaration as your center point that all of your other blog posts, podcasts, videos can spin off of.
Your declaration will really identify you as a leader in this industry and define your goals. In a way, this is your mission statement but expanded.
